KANATA CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Presentation

Kanata Children’s Choir is an ensemble dedicated to children passionate about music and singing. Founded at the Kanata Music Academy, we are proud to offer artistic and social development opportunities for our young members.

Vision

Our vision is to create a harmonious community where children can express themselves through music and develop high-quality musical skills. We aim to inspire and encourage creativity, friendship, and a passion for singing.

Mission

Our mission is to:

1. Nurture Talents: Provide children with a platform to develop their musical talents and encourage them to explore various musical genres.
2. Promote Values: Emphasize values such as discipline, teamwork, respect, and the joy of singing together.
3. Bring the Community Together: Unite families, friends, and the local community through concerts and musical events.

We are excited to embark on this musical journey alongside our children and create beautiful memories through music!

At the audition, children WITH or WITHOUT EXPERIENCE IN MUSIC can participate. 

The choir coordinators will test the children regarding their vocal musical abilities, hearing, and rhythm.

Auditions for the 2025 season will be held:

WEDNESDAY – December 18 2024 -5:00 PM

SATURDAY – December 21 2024 – 11:00 AM

SATURDAY – January 04 2024 – 11:00 AM

WEDNESDAY – January 08 2024 – 5:00 PM

JUNIOR CHOIR

Ensemble for Children Aged 8-11:

• This ensemble consists of children aged between 8 and 11 years old.
• They rehearse once a week, one hour, and perform at least one annual concert.
• Rechearsal time: WEDNESDAY – 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM

SENIOR CHOIR

Ensemble for Children Aged 12-15:

• This ensemble is comprised of children aged between 12 and 15 years old.
• They will also have weekly rehearsals, 1.5 hour, and participate in at least one annual concert.
• Rechearsal time: WEDNESDAY – 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

AUDITION FOR JUNIOR OR SENIOR CHOIR:

$10

JUNIOR CHOIR:

$550 half of the season (September to January or February to June)

$ 1000 season (September to June)

SENIOR CHOIR:

$700 half of the season (September to January or February to June)

$1300 season (September to June)

Tuition covers: 

• Weekley rehearsals for half season or the full season (September to June)

Tuition does not cover: 

• Concert tickets
• Tours
